Deputy church warden Winifred Jones prepares the altar for service at St. Peter's Church in St. George, Bermuda on Sunday, October 10, 2010. Located in the historic town of St George, St Peter’s Church is believed to be the oldest continually used Anglican church in the Western hemisphere. The original church was built from Bermuda cedar with a palmetto-thatch roof in 1612. Most of the present structure dates from 1713 but some features, such as the steeple, were later additions. The first Bermuda Parliament met here in 1620, making it the 3rd oldest parliament in the world.
