Defour served as an Army Air Corps Tech. Sgt. in Ramatelli, Italy in 1943 and Tuskegee Airman Instructor. Sixty-six veterans from the Westchester County (NY) area toured the WWII and Marine Corps War Memorials, as well as Arlington National Cemetery.
